The Waiting Room

The Waiting Room

Tick tock, tick tock
Said the clock
On the wall.

Tick tock, tick tock.
The wait was
Interminably,
Intolerably
Long.

Tick tock, tick tock.
The seat was
Terribly,
Unbearably
Hard.

Tick tock, tick tock.
Waiting with
Anticipation,
Trepidation
To hear her name.
