The Spin Doctor
The Spin Doctor
Truth is lies and lies are truth
And never the twain shall meet –
Except in the doctor’s spin machine,
An instrument of great deceit.
Put in some black and add some white,
The mixer blends them well,
Until it’s hard to tell them apart
And know what’s what at all.
An easy way to attain success:
Combine the facts with fiction.
The product of this simple act:
A most poisonous concoction.

Ah, yes
Morning adee.
Thanks, Cin, pity I couldn’t find a better pic! Enjoy your weekend.
Ain’t that the truth! Morning!
Morning, Supa! I was thinking politicians when I wrote it, but then realised it had a meaning closer to home.
Hope you’re getting used to WP. I found it to be very much trial and error (and still do, lol). You can try out themes and your stuff goes onto them, so you can see font sizes, etc. and go back to what you had or carry on chopping and changing until you find one you like. I’m on my 3rd now and I think I’m happy!
…this is true….we know it….but we keep drinking from this fountain…so I suppose one can call it the fountain of life?
Aah yes – for some the fountain of good life, lol!!!
That is SO clever….my first thought was politicians!
Thank you Gran!
Really clever, Adee!

Thanks so much, Halfy! xxx
I like.
I found myself wondering if the last stanza wouldn’t have more impact by matching the rhythm of the second and last lines by leaving ‘most’ out. There are things for and against doing that, though – so it remains a matter of personal choice!
Thank you, Col. I do welcome your comments. I agree that in some ways it is better, but not in others, so I will stick with my first instinct in this one … for now.
