A Grey Day
A Grey Day
a grey day
with grey rain
steady drizzle
drip, drip
from the tip
of his nose
shoes squelch
in puddles
as he walks
hunched over
heavy-hearted
legs of lead
another day gone
racked with pain
he crawls under
a plastic-covered
cardboard box
sits on
today’s news
home again

Very touching…you are gifted in being able to express your empathy so well. The thought of that little kid wandering in the slums will be lingering in my mind for a while…

, it is truly sad.
You’ve highlighted the plight of the shack dwellers perfectly, Adee. It breaks my heart to see so many people still living like this.
It must be a terrible life to lead and I don’t think any inroads are being made into providing better shelter for these people. Thanks for the comment Halfy.
wow. a rather bleak picture you paint…which stirs the compassion….
It is sad, Brian, that even in our ‘advanced’ world there are still people living like this…

It is shocking that this still happens all over the world… It makes me so ashamed…
