CLARITY
CLARITY
Come fly with me
Through the sky with me
And we can see
Ourselves with clarity
Learn to let go
Leave the evil below
Drift with the flow
And help our faith grow
Unload the weight
Of worry and hate
And close the gate
Before it’s too late

so true..it’s as clear as a bell ( that is a strange saying)
loved the poem. you are so clever with words
Thanks, Patrecia. I wonder where that saying originated?
Very good Adee…and so true!
Thanks for the visit, Gran. Sometimes we can’t see the wood for the trees! Hope you’re enjoying your weekend…
Oh Denise. That’s lovely.
I’m a babe in arms when it comes to instant poetry
Thanks John
Some poems just write themselves, like this one and the one before, just from a germ of an idea or even a single word…
Rhyme schemes aaaa, bbbb, cccc. I like to play with different constructions from time to time. Also plan syllabic count very precisely as an added twist.
Yes, Carl, I also fiddle around sometimes for effect…
What a great and “uplifting” poem (no pun intended – or did I) to read this Sabbath day, Dee. For my sake you should probably remind me to close the barn door, and LOCK the gate behind me!
Thanks for adding to my joy – even when you are in the midst of struggling to heal. You always manage to get me thinking and/or smiling! Dear friend – I wish you enough. . .
You are always so encouraging, Paula. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.
this has a fun rhythm to it..learning to fly is one of my fav tom petty songs to..soemtimes we have to relearn it along the way as well…
One thing I really would love to do if I could have my life over is learn to fly… I can’t imagine anything better than that feeling of total freedom!
if i had a superpower it would be to fly…
It would be wonderful, I agree!
Lovely, succinct and no I have ‘Come Fly With Me’ looping round in my head with new lyrics…
Ah yes, lovely song, Kate…
Another one which would lend itself well to becoming a good song for a band.
Thanks, Col. I will be getting a swollen head if I’m not careful…
I sang that one in my head.
Too serious at the end I think for a song, Otin, but thanks.
Clarity is wonderful to have and terrible to lose. Thanks, Denise.
For some reason, Elton John’s “Harmony” popped into my head ~ with Clarity:
[Clarity] and me
We’re pretty good company
Looking for an island
In our boat upon the sea . . .
I’m anxious to hear about your rehab this week. Best of luck as you start moving around.
All fine Nancy, thanks. Exercises… exercises. Haven’t had the brace fitted so not walking yet. Wed 3rd should see it done.
lovely – it would be wonderful to fly at whim, Adee
Ah, wouldn’t it just, Bb!
Very nice at the start to the new week, adee

Aw, this was a really nice post. In idea I would like to put in writing like this additionally – taking time and actual effort to make a very good article… but what can I say… I procrastinate alot and by no means seem to get something done.
