One of the All-Time great ballads.
I agree 100%!
What a brilliant performer . . . AWESOME!
One of my very favourites, gorgeous voice and wonderful song!
I love Roberta Flack – but I can no longer think of this song without thinking of Hugh Grant and Nicholas Hoult in the movie “About a Boy,” one of my all time favorite movies.
I haven’t seen it, but will keep an eye out, thanks, Paula.
Fabulous song!
I agree, Cin. One of my all-time favourites!
How nice to get a bit of super music, Denise. Brightens up my morning.
My tastes run from Bach, through jazz and folk, but a real good lyrical song is always worth hearing.
Thanks Denise.
John
Thanks John, I’m glad you enjoyed it. I have very wide-ranging musical tastes, depending on my mood, from The Platters, Louis Armstrong, Joan Bias, Bonnie Tyler, Elvis Presley, Josh Groban, light classical, etc. etc. in fact, most things excluding yodelling!
Oh, Denise. Joan Baez is my heroine as a singer. June and I used to sing a lot of her songs – mostly over the washing up!
I hope you are still well, Denise. My prayers are with you.
John
Yes, Joan Baez recordings are also lovely! I used to sing (er, did I say ‘sing’, haha) when washing up o r driving the car!
I am fine thanks, John, bit down but OK. Busy trying to decide what to keep when trying to fit contents of 3 bedroom house into bachelor pad. Impossible job unpacking too! This is mainly why I haven’t posted lately. Can’t get my brain into the right mood… Thanks for your kindness.
Thanks, Denise.
I have loved this song, and Roberta Flack’s music in general, for many years. Thanks for posting the video today.
Me too, Ruth! I have played it on and off all day…
Lovely stuff, Denise…
I’m so glad you liked it, Kate.
Yeah…I heard that…
Great!
Thank you for lifting me up in a time of need … most especially with my all-time favorite singer.
Anytime, Maxi. Wonderful song by a great singer.
