Light
Bright
Clear
As a tear
Rain-washed sky
Clouds scudding by
Radiant sunshine
Splashes its way
Into a brand new day

Fresh starts sound wonderful!
Yes, indeed it does, BV. Loved you choc chip cheesecake recipe. I shall make an attempt soon, lol!
I think they made tears in an attempt to wash away grief. Most times they don’t work very well.
Wash away sadness and let the sunshine in… true, though sometimes it can take many, many tears, Carl.
the sunlight splashing its way into a new day makes a great visual…smiles. have a lovely day!
Thanks Brian, and you have a wonderful weekend!
It’s springtime there, new beginings abound, it is reflected in this beautiful poem….Thanks for depressing me, as the winter approaches. lol
I’m so sorry Jack. Never mind, you’ll get your turn, lol.
Lovely. For me nothing quite equals the joy of watching a new day break, especially when clouds scud away to make way for the sun to rise in all its majesty.
You said it so well, Ruth! Thanks.
Loved it Denise. The juxtaposition of sunlight and raindrops is beautiful.
John
Thank you so much, John. I love it when the sun comes out and shines on all the raindrops still hanging on the trees, flowers and grass stems.
very nice too!
love to you
Thanks, Patrecia! Bless you.
Thanks, Denise!
The sun is always shining . . . even if clouds obscure our view.
Yes, it is, Nancy – reminds me of ‘Every cloud has a silver lining’ – thank you.
Short and sweet aaand refreshing; I’m ready for a brand new day.
I’m sure things will work out for you, Maxi!. God bless you in the next phase of your life, my friend.
Dazzling, Denise
Bright sun can bedazzle the eyes, Kate.
Clear as a tear. i like that.
Thank you; I liked it too..
that morning sun on the highveld after overnight rain, so very clear!
The rain washes the smog out of the air, Sidey, so we have less gunge to breathe…
I can smell that lovely rain-washed air, Adeeyoyo, and love the image of the “scudding clouds” – an utterly delightful poem
Thanks Bb. We are starting to have our evening summer storms. I love the smell after rain!
Very uplifting poem adeeyoyo – ‘I can see clearly now the rain has gone’ – the promise of a brand new day keeps all of us going.
One of my favourites… how did you guess? Thank you, Gabe!
I really like this, Adee. The images are pure and as so many have said – uplifting. The rain-washed sky is beautiful. I feel all jolly after reading this!
I’m glad it lifted your spirits, Selma. Thank you for liking it.
