Freedom in a Bubble
.
I am in a bubble
Floating in the air,
Drifting in the breeze
To I know not where.
Wonderfully weightless,
Up and up I fly,
Higher and higher
In a cloudless sky.
Oh what a feeling
Of freedom at last –
No more looking back
To the prison of my past.

The past can be a prison but we can stand taller by standing on the broken blocks to reach to put new ones in place.
That is a wonderful way to put it, Carl!
I love this, Denise ~ both the poem and the pic! When we let go the past . . . we have two hands available to embrace the present.
Another great way to look at it, Nancy! Thank you.
Soar with the eagles Denise, soar.Lovely picture how free-spirited.
I do fly, Jack, as high as I can in my dreams!
Ah yes, that lightness, the feeling of floating in a bubble – I treasure it…
Thanks, Ruth, I love that feeling too.
I liked that one..very good..full marks
Thank you, Patrecia, I had fun writing it!
Letting go of the past gives us freedom to enjoy the future.
Very true, Barb… Thank you.
lovely one Denise. What a positive response to Sidey, and what a pleasure to read.

I’m glad you liked it, John. I do love that light hearted feeling…
Light, airy and floating like the subject, and nice and upbeat in the conclusion.
Thanks, Col. Hope the bubble doesn’t burst!
Life does move us forward… thank goodness!
We have to grow with our experiences, 1S. I think that is the whole point…
It’s novel and truly symbolic of freedom, Denise. Congrats for hitting a new image.
Thank you, Sunamu. I also thought it was a good symbol of ‘freedom’.
To feel free, one must break through of the past, stop thinking of the future and live in the present.
That’s the same conclusion I have come to, Epizeuxis!
A perfect metaphor for the freedom of letting go, Adee
Yes, Bb!
