Slate wiped clean

As if she’d never been

Here today and gone tomorrow

Went home to die

Sweet goodbye

Kin arrived

To clear her flat

How ‘bout that

Truck left

Precious things

Piled up high

Teetering towards the sky

Waiting…

.

Large glass double doors

Sun stopped outside

L-shaped room, chair-lined

‘You can’t sit there’

Words rang loud and clear

I looked for an upright chair

Most were bottomless pits

Traps for the unaware

People dressed in Sunday best

I recognised one or two

Some of the rest were new

Inmates – how ‘they’ hated the word

Residents is what ‘they’ preferred

Like animals, accepting fate

Tame, meek, all submission

Absolutely no assertion

Who remembers they are there

Perhaps Death will be the one

Sent to remind them

Of what they forgot

Under my breath

‘Cause losing the thread

Would be the dance of death

Wings of the Wind

 .

On the wings of the wind

I fly through the sky

and the wings of the wind

raise me up to the high-

est point of the blue

so I’m nearer to You.

 .

I’m removed from the cares

and my earthly fears

when I float in the rare

ambience of the air

while my dream is refined

on the wings of the wind.

Heralding the birth of the infant King

The moon is at its height

Shining its light of peace on earth

Oft times we are too close to see

The making or changing of history.

The forest is made up of too many trees

Blocking the view of anything new.

The implications and variations,

Said to be pure as the driven snow,

Are often disguised from enquiring eyes

And hidden in layers and layers of lies.
