Don’t let Deprivation make you FAT
.
A little more meat and mustard
And go easy with the custard
All these years of living lean
Have helped me to appreciate
That I must not inflate

But, then there will be more of you to love.
Ooh, Jake, you are making excuses for me, lol!
I am inflating without even thinking about it.
So do most of us, Gran.
I love custard … can’t go easy.
Blessings – Maxi
I love it too, Maxi, but I am not addicted, lol, like chocolate and icecream! God bless you.
Have given up ice cream, soda, cake and pastry for 8 weeks. I have lost 2 stinking pounds. You hear me, just 2 stinking pounds. So this morning I am buying 6 pecan pies, 9 apple pies, 2 gallons of Belgian chocolate ice cream, a gallon of chocolate chip and a gallon of pistachio. Then it’s 16 pounds of macaroni and 15 pounds of assorted sandwich meats.
Oh no, Carl, you’ll undo all the good work. 2 ‘stinking’ pounds equals 4 kilos. Half a kilo a week for 8 weeks is very good going. I hope you’re just joking, my friend… I’m rooting for you!
Living in wartime rationed Britain made people lean, Denise, and many of them (including me!) retained the habit of spare eating.
Nice poem.
John
Thanks, John. That is an excellent habit to have adopted, especially when one sees overweight people everywhere these days. The only people smiling are the doctors!
Clever, raw and beautiful. Nicely done. to say the least.
Aha, clever Hook, thank you!
Memo to self?
Metaphorically speaking, Ben.
Love this. So short and sweet, with no added sugar.
Thank you, AD, I am trying to get to the bones of it.
Meat and Mustard…hmm, me thinks me now wants a big fat Reuben Sandwich…Yeah, that’s it…be back later..
Nothing like a hefty meat and potato sandwich, Paul, with some coleslaw on the side! C u later…
This is wonderful, Denise! Thanks for the smiles.
My pleasure, Nancy.
I should have read this when a snack didn’t sound so good.
Snacking can sometimes be good, Jeannie.
More protein – definitely the way to go
Funny poem adeeyoyo.
Thanks, Gabrielle. I was speaking metaphorically, lol!
smiles…there is a point to living you know…enjoy it…smiles.
Oh yes, Brian, I know…
Accidentally had two good Christmases and put on 5 stone. Lost 1, just 4 to go!
Bwahaha, Brit. 5 stone! That’s some Christmas eating! And it will be quite a job to lose… good luck! Just eat sensibly and it should melt off again.
haha – you make me laugh, Adee – lean is most definitely better (but all is forgotten in the presence of dark orange chocolate
)
Oooh, yum, I SO agree, Bb!
