The Pathway
.
I walk the path from A to B
There is no end that I can see
I clamber o’er boulders along the way
But cannot allow myself to stray
I follow the straight and narrow road
Keeping the image in my mind
My gaze, my eyes
Fixed on the prize
.

Amazing. I just posted my poem “Pathways” half hour ago !
That is amazing, Carl. I’m on my way over in a couple of minutes…
Love your poetry, adeeyoyo. So simple but says so much. xxx
I am so happy when you compliment my poetry, AD!
:
But always remember to glance over your shoulder now and then..
I’ll try to remember, Jake.
Hello ady
fancy finding you here
*hugs*
Hope, I’ve missed you my friend! How nice that you’re here too! Welcome… and enjoy your new home.
You struck a cord with this one, Denise…
Do our best, it takes the prize every time…
Blessings – Maxi
I’m so glad, thank you, Maxi. We owe it to ourselves, don’t we. Bless you too.
if you know what you want…or what prize is the best…that is the best way to be no matter the obstacles….
That’s right, Brian. It sounds so easy, but is actually sometimes harder than we expect…
Simple, but deep. A good path to take.
Sensible – but since when are we sensible, Col?
Oh yes, Denise, eyes on the prize (s) at all times.
Thank you
John
Sounds easy, John, but it isn’t always.
The prize – The only motivation we need.
And that’s the truth, Inzwakazi!
Gotta keep your eyes on the prize, my friend. Great piece.
Yes indeed, Hook. Thank you.
This exactly echoes how I felt today, Denise. Although the prize seems very distant and almost a dream….
Sometimes it’s quite difficult to do, Kate…
“SOME FOLK GET THERE EASY
Some folk get there easy,
Some folk get there slow.
But God is standing back to back
And there’s nowhere else to go.”
– From The Book Of Guff
I love this, Ben! Thank you so much. Love the ‘back to back’ because that is how it feels…
Well, that’s a successful line for you, I suppose.
That’s the only way to do it, Adee
I think so, Bb.
Even if the pathway is crumbling beneath our feet that prize keeps us going. It’s so important!
To me, it’s the whole point of living, Selma.
