Late

.

Too bad

You’re late*

He was waiting

At the gate

You weren’t there

Too busy

With life’s game

No time

To let him in

So He couldn’t

Erase your sin

.

This is a play on the word ‘late’.  Many people in South Africa use the word to mean ‘dead’, e.g. ‘He is late.’ meaning ‘He is dead.’

Refer:  (Revelation 3:20)

Thanks, AD! I have been receiving emails for all your comments to and from others who comment on your blog. Also some belonging to Hope. None from others though which makes me think it is only recent ex News 24 bloggers. I hope ‘they’ (WP) sort it out soon.

Timing is everything in life….And beyond I guess..

Simple but profound. How often we give precedence to trivial things, neglecting the ones of vital importance.

  10. Carl D'Agostino says :

Jesus’s door is always open. It is ours that may remain closed. His offering is not a command either. It is an invitation. Heard an interesting twist on meaning of Garden of Eden story. It is man that kicked God out of the Garden not vice versa. Makes sense. We’re the ones that do the door closing.

I was just pointing out how easy it is to neglect the important things in life, Carl. The Garden theory, I agree, does make sense. We have His assurance that he will forgive us ANYTHING we truly regret so he could NEVER shut us out – it is we ourselves who shut the door. Thanks for your comment/reply and God bless you.
