Mothers
.
Like any sample of humanity
Mothers vary from kind and loving
Generous spirits
To mean, long-suffering
Tartars and martyrs,
From plodding dinosaurs
To social butterflies.
Care-full or care-less
Chances of getting a great mother
Are just as good as they are bad,
But we view one another,
Offspring and mother,
Through rose tinted lenses of love.
.
I shall not be putting any more posts on my blog until WordPress have fixed up all their problems, eg. email notifications from other blogs for which I have not asked.

Oh yes, love seen through rose-tinted glasses tends to change the view.
I have had the same problem, Denise. It’s the first time I have ever had a problem with WP. I unchecked the e-mail follow up box at each blog; it has taken care of the problem.
Blessings – Maxi
Yip, Maxi, we all seem to view our mothers with a special tenderness.
I am all sorted, thank goodness! I received an excellent email from Jack at poemsandponderings and it sorted it all out at the very root! Anyone else needing help, I can forward his email to you…
So true, Adee. I’m so glad that I got the Mom I did.

Me too, AD!
The mother I have known longest and most closely is, of course, June, the mother of our whole family. I see the total love and hero worship in our daughters, and the love of our sons for this beautiful lady. Is it any wonder we have been married for 46 years
By the way Denise, I have had the same problems. Rivers of emails!!
John
If you would like the email I mentioned above, please let me know, John. How is June doing? I hope well.
This might help, Denise:

Thanks so much for the offer, Nancy. I used the advice from Jack (see above) and I think it is all under control at last!
You’re right we do love the mom that we got. Cause she was chosen just for us.
That is such a good reply, Jeannie! I believe so too.
WordPress is very buggy at the moment. Don’t know what’s going on. It tripled my follow up comments yesterday. I nearly had a heart attack.
‘Rose tinted lenses of love’ – very well put!
I thought I was going to drown, Selma! I sincerely hope I have seen the end of it all.
Thank you, I thought so too when it came into my head.
A very true and thoughtful post Denise thank you and please hurry back..
* About wordpress; Recently I was informed of a new glitch regarding comments. At the bottom of the comment section there is a small box that says notify me of follow-up comments by e-mail..Until recently you had to click that to get the comments, now unless you UN-CLICK you get all of the comments to that posting..So always unclick to prevent that.
Your email, Jack, did the trick I think! Wonderful! Thank you soooo very much!
Ps. I just noticed your blog comment section doesn’t have that box????
I followed some other advice, lol, but can’t for the life of me find where I changed the settings. Anyway it didn’t work completely. Your email provided the right answer thank goodness. I was about to perform harakiri!
Your humor is “cutting” enough, for me.
smiles…thre are few as special as a mother you know…i have seen situations where disdain would be so justified yet….
I think we have a special bond with our mothers, deserved or not, Brian.
Beautiful work…
Thank you so much, Hook.
