The Wind
The Wind
.
Lying on the silky *strand
A study in immobility
I feel the warm wind
Caressing me
Polishing my skin
With fine grains of sand
And the softest spray of sea

That sounds lovely adee.
I have always wanted to live in a cottage right next to the beach, Hope.
It sounds idyllic. I would love that too.
your study in immobility sounds like it is very therapeutic you know…smiles…like a simple meditation in being…
Ah yes, Brian, it is. I could sit or lie on the beach for hours, just dreaming. I toyed between this title and The Rock. Now I think I prefer the latter.
Beautiful poem and pic, adee. I hope this will be me over the next week in Belize.
Have a wonderful time AD! So glad you liked my post. ♥
Never realized the wind gave me a gift, polished my skin. Lovely!
Blessings ~ Maxi
You’re welcome, Maxi. Just remember a little goes a long way, lol! God bless you.
When beach is empty and just sound of gulls and lap of waves – polishes my soul too
I agree, Carl. I think that’s why that is to me the best place in the world.
I want to go swimming now!
Me too, Otin, me too!
You presented a lovely picture Denise.
My mind goes back to the university days when I idly spent some evenings on the beach hanging my legs to the lapping waves on a rock, watching people play in sand with children forgetting their age, till the lighthouse made circles above my head to indicate it is time for dinner at the hostel.
Once you miss your sea, perhaps, you miss it forever.
I think I will always miss it, SuNaMu. Thank you for sharing your lovely memory with me. I can see the picture clearly…
Now that IS a day at the beach, I could almost smell the salt air. Nice..
Thank you, Jake.
My pleasure indeed Denise.. You had me reaching for the sun-block in January (Western Hemisphere).
What a caressing thought for someone in England’s winter, Denise
John
I hope it warms you to read it, John. Please give June my best wishes. ♥
