Dawn
The dawning promise of morning
Where golden arrows streak the sky
And blushing clouds drift on high
Doused in purest gold
Too soon the sun appears
Reaching over the horizon
And the surrounding colours brighten
In a burst of blazing flames
Glorious scenes beyond our dreams
Pleasure and delight our senses
Oh that we could freeze the moment
With each and every small component

I had pictures beautiful mornings flashing in my mind whilst reading this, adee.
I am so glad it jogged your memories, Hope.
And with each new day, a new beginning. Beautifully written Denise.
.Thank you, Jake. I hope this year is full of new beginnings…
None but the best for you Denise..
smiles…you paint a beautiful and serene picture…and if only we could capture that feeling…that fresh awakening you describe…smiles.
I try to feel the ‘fresh awakening’ despite our mundane, often ugly, lives, Brian. It’s sometimes what keeps me going…
Denise,
Ha ha. God is so wise in taking away that ability to freeze the moments out of our hands… lest we should be greedy to freeze every beautiful moment like the dawns and dusks undermining his intentions of this creation. Think of the present day corrupt political power houses. Will they let their reign end?
We are surrounded by ugliness and greed, SuNaMu. In fact it seems to be spreading more and more. ‘They’ will never willingly let go. But God is great and we must have faith.
Every country perhaps passes through such state Denise. Read this poem by Sir William Jones. He has a message for the people.

Thank you so much for the link, SuNaMu. Lovely poem and he puts it very well.
“Glorious scenes beyond our dreams…” I went to heaven in a dream after my brother died, it is beyond description.
Can you do me a favor, Denise. I have a new e-mail address and need mail to go to: maxi.malone8@gmail.com
Thank you and Blessings ~ Maxi
I do believe it is beyond description and beyond any comparison too, Maxi.
Thanks for your email update. Done and dusted. ♥
super, Denise.
We could sure do with some of that over here!
Winter rules!
John
Thanks, John. I’ve been watching your temperatures and see you’re in a dip again. If I could only send you some warmth….
Your snowman has just done that, Denise.
John
I am so glad, John.
what a beautiful poem, Denise – i can never tire of watching the prelude to sun rising…
Nature can be so beautiful, Ruth.
Doesn’t need a picture – the words do the trick.
Thank you, Col. Sometimes one can’t compete though.
Not so sure about that. Words can engage the imagination more effectively, and that is limitless.
It’s not easy to do justice in finding words to describe a really beautiful thing. Words can sometimes fall short, I feel.
