Snowman
He stands forgotten in the garden
Children’s voices echo on the air
Shouts of glee taken by the wind
Scattered here there and everywhere
Short-lived joy of yesterday
Existing worlds apart
The man of snow stands in the cold
But he feels a warm glow in his heart

Aaaaw……..this is such a cute poem, adee.
Thanks, AD.
Your images taken from a different season and place, here!
Yes, Col. Sometimes I long for a ‘proper’ winter which we don’t experience here. Other times I am more than happy with our climate.
I was speaking to daughter in UK earlier today. They are having lots too much of the snow scene today! Mind you, it has given them a day off work and school.
My brother and one of my sisters say the snow is minimal where they are (north and south of London). I believe it is worse in the west of the country.
This is south, which doesn’t normally get much.
Very sweet poem, adee
Ah, thank you, Hope. ♥
Nice
Thanks, BB. Glad you thought so.
i am glad he stil feels the warmth in their joy of creation….we are getting snow today so maybe i will make him a friend…smiles.
I hope you do, Brian, haha.
You should see our grandchildren when the snow comes. Such gladness.
No wonder he has a warm glow in his heart, Denise.
John
