BLIND DRUNK
.
tyres screech
white lines flash
oh god
hit a robot
big shot
never mind
cross their palm
cops are blind
empty street
riding the night
on the right
no – the wrong
side
nightmare ride
cowering in back
boozer… loser
boozer… loser
mantra
in my head
.

oy kinda scary for me…have lost a few friends along the way to drunk driving…the cachophony of imagery in this, the surreality adds to it…nice…
It is scary to have no control, Brian.
Very powerful and really scary.
*hugs*
It was scary, Hope. We thought we were going to die, but we didn’t plead or cry.
Was close to this situation once myself. I wasn’t driving, had no control. Whew!
Blessings ~ Maxi
At least we survived, Maxi. Bless you.♥
Horrific, Denise. What a nightmare
John
It wasn’t very nice, John. But, to be honest, I wasn’t THAT scared. Not sure why. More scared thinking back… what could have happened.
Unfortunately it took my 35 years to learn the lesson. Clean and sober now 10 years,10 months.
Wow, what a great achievement, Carl!
Vivid recollection of a scene far too common these days.
Dreadful to have no control over the driver…
This is so well written, and very frightening, adee.
I was afraid, but yet quite calm when it happened, AD.
Very fast paced and scary…
It was scary, Jeannie. I tried to show the pace in my writing.
