God Weeps

.

God weeps

At man’s inhumanity to man

As man cuts a bloody swathe across his own

Evil smiles at his devilish tricks

We must join hands for peace

Bond together to defeat

The evil one whose plans

Are under-hand and under-way

We must not sway from right

Not always easy to tell, but pray

For our Father to show us the path

And learn to harken to His voice

As He gives us the choice

‘Tween good and evil

‘Tween God and the Devil

For a really positive take on the Boston bombings have a look at Connor’s post:

Loyalty

.

My shame is your shame

Whence it came

Honour is no more

Pride comes before a fall

I am mortified by your disgrace

Cannot bear to see your face

Where innocence lies thereon

The lies you believe over me

And cannot see the hypocrisy

Where is the loyalty

Neither

.

When you are neither young nor old
When youth has gone and age not yet arrived
It’s waiting in the shadowed wings of life
To show itself however slowly in the light

Even as day has hours of darkness
Where spirit fails to meet the sun
And the night is so much blacker
With murky patches hiding in the gloom

Remember the sun can’t hide forever
And the clouds will slowly burn away
Shining light will burst the cover
And there will always be a brand new day

Too Soon?

.

I know it’s too soon to tell
but i’m feeling so well
i slept soundly all night
and i know i was right
the last meds didn’t agree
and i couldn’t leave be
i was way overdue
for a thorough breakthrough
and so i…
let go of presumptions
speculations and assumptions
sail into the wind and cast care aside
my body feels great
and i’m sure that this state
of wellbeing will last !

Peace…

.

i sit in the cool breeze

letting His peace wash over me

in silence

only the rustle of the leaves

as the tall trees

sway gently

i feel the healing rays of the sun

the warmth of the air waves

i’m as small as an ant

in the universe

but He loves me

Dreaming in the Real World

.

Imagine…

world peace

harmony

where hostilities cease

living in love

with God above

never-ending joy

no more sorrow

tomorrow…

Goodbye

.

I wrote

A note

And watched it float

Far far away

Across the bay

Then into the sea

With love from me

Sounds of Music

.

one

single

gentle

pluck of the chord

and the sound

vibrates, resonates

stirring the air

shivering, quivering

in my ear

.

one

single

velvet

breath of Pan

and the sound

sooths, smooths

through ev’ry pore

calming, embalming

my core

.

one

single

tender

tap of the skin

and the sound

rebounds, resounds

lost and forlorn

a beat in the tempo

of time

The Secret Door

.

Hidden by bristly brambles

The thorny creeper rambles,

Its pointed fingers wind,

Meshing as tight as twine

Concealing, screening

My wounded feelings,

Safe and secure

Behind the secret door.

.

The hinges and lock

Were rusted with age

With no way to open

The make-shift cage.

And so I lived for twenty odd years

While my heart was healed

And I could reclaim

What was mine again.

Spring

Spring

.

Spring

.

Life stirs after winter’s death,

Its long, cold sleep thru the snow and sleet,

Bare twigs and dead sticks

Tingle with awakening

And new life shows its nose

Gingerly testing before resurrecting;

A time of marvels and miracles

Where life lives and death dies

Under lightening skies.
