Adeeyoyo's Blog

I write what I feel…

Lying on the sandy beach
Or next to a swimming pool
In the searing summer sun;
Sweating, blistering,
Oh to be cold, oh to be cool!

Braving the open air
In the icy winter cold;
Wrapping up from head to foot,
Frozen extremities,
Oh to be warm, oh to be hot!

Characterized by erratic changeableness or instability, especially with regard to affections or attachments; capricious.

I am a middle-aged South African woman, living in Johannesburg. I began writing poetry towards the end of May 2010. I love animals – sometimes more than people! I am back after a break. Thanks for still being here, if you are! Missed you! xxx

  1. I’m a Capricorn and so caprice is my natural mien.
    As always, a delight to read 🙂

  2. well that rules out summer and winter..perhaps fall will work? smiles. nicely done…like the mirror between teh two stanzas

  3. It’s the egg streams one doesn’t like!

    It is so true that deprivation of something – be it heat or cold – makes one want it. Then it is SO pleasant until one gets too much and wants the opposite again!

  4. I go through this every winter and every summer in Oklahoma. Winters are freezing – summers are boiling. Yikes!
