Strikers

Strikers

When workers strike,
And get what they want,
Refusing to negotiate,
Who wins? What have they learnt?

Who doesn’t want a holiday
On full pay?
Who suffers most
At the end of the day?

Strikers don’t understand
‘No money in the coffers’.
Now the country is being asked
For ideas to raise money for the loafers.

Those MPs guilty of using taxpayers cash
For soccer tickets, and unnecessary first class travel
Should be forced to repay the dosh
With interest or lose their seats.
Permanently.

  1. Oh adee, this is such a wry comment on what is going on; I fear we are on an unstoppable downward spiral 😦

    • It is sad, Amanda. These strikers think there is a never-ending supply of money! And there certainly would be more if others could keep their sticky fingers out of the cookie jar! Thanks for your support… xxx

  3. Well said Adee….they are rapidly reaching a point where the increase will not cover what they have lost…can’t they see this?

  4. ok i am out of the loop on this one but can get the context as i worked in unionized labor so long ago…and the economy is brutal here…and totally agree on the MPs…

    • The problem is that some of the strikers are from the medical field and some are educators. Therefore people are dying from neglect and children are not getting schooled – again. The strikers are getting more and more violent and so are the police. Please do yourself a favour and read the two links at the bottom of the post, especially the second one (caps). The MPs – well don’t get me started on them…! Where are brave honest leaders in this country – or are they all dead?
