Adeeyoyo's Blog

I write what I feel…

My phone rang,
Caller unknown,
A message no-one wants,
‘Your son has been killed’
Wrong number.

Since that day, many calls
All to no avail.
Sympathy calls for Mary,
Promises to give me her number
But nothing forthcoming.

The calls are now fewer;
Friends who have been away
And only just heard the news.
I’m sorry Mary, so sorry
I couldn’t reach you.

  10. Mary…

Mary Lost Her Son…and There is One Son, THE Son that Saved us all…

I read this and thought of Our Blessed Mother…

It is only upon reading the Comments that I realize it is another Mary…

    Or Is It?

    Perhaps a Reminder??

    Beautiful Work!!

    • It actually happened, but after writing the poem/tribute I also realised it could be interpreted a different way and perhaps it was meant to be… God works in mysterious ways.
