Cumulus Clouds

Fantasies

White, fluffy clouds up high in the sky –
The lower layer moves slowly
And, to my eye,
What wonderful shapes they make:
Animals, birds and even the faces
Of men and women,
Then the picture changes
As vehicles of all descriptions
Come and go while I watch,
Morphing from one to another,
An angel, a wizard, a witch,
Fantasies of an endless variety
Take my imagination on a wild journey.

I am a middle-aged South African woman, living in Johannesburg. I began writing poetry towards the end of May 2010. I love animals – sometimes more than people! I am back after a break. Thanks for still being here, if you are! Missed you! xxx

  2. A lovely poem. I love cloud-reading, sometimes I think it’s better even than reading a book. 🙂 Those are awesome clouds in that photo.

    • Of course I don’t mind, Amanda – unless you turn into one of the stalkers that have been plaguing (sp?) WP and Blogspot, lol! Actually, it’s no laughing matter. A total of three bloggers I know have been affected and almost stopped blogging because of it. I only had two responses to yesterday’s post – unpopular subject, it seems. Take care. 😀 xxx
