Sidey’s Weekend Theme, 08.10.2010: String and Sticky-tape
String and Sticky-tape
I’ll package up my past
In a brown paper packet
And close it up fast
With string and sticky-tape
So the memories all depart
(out of sight, out of mind)
And I can free my heart.

PS – Sorry, brown paper packets were out of stock…

String and Sticky-tape – 2
You broke my heart
In hundred and thousands
Of little pieces,
And I need mountains
Of string and sticky-tape
To put it together again
And take away the pain.

Glad I made you laugh, Amanda! 😀 This is the only challenge I take part in because of the time factor. I would love to try all the others, but it is impossible for me for the next at least 3-4 months. Have a great weekend and r-e-l-a-x! Love, xxx

Thanks Brian. I prefer the second concept, but rushed it too much. Have a great weekend…

I like them both; as poetry I prefer the first, but as a solution I prefer the second…. (the first made me think of pandora’s box) – well done!

Thanks for the comment. I was also thinking of Pandora’s Box, lol! But I learnt something from this – not to publish anything that I’m not proud of – ever! Rather not post anything than rush it… I cringe now when I read both of them…

The first is my favorite. Yes, wrapping up my past in brown paper sounds like a great temptation!

i liked the first, the idea of gettin rid of the stuff from the past that holds one back is almost irresistable

Nicely done! I liked both, but have to agree with the majority — the first is my favorite.

Thanks so much for your visit and comment. I think I could have done better with both, but unfortuntely I rushed them – and learned a valuable lesson, lol!
