Dream Queen of the Dance
I felt so light
I could have danced all night
From the stately waltz
To the tantalizing
Rumbas and sambas
Dancing for joy
My head in the clouds
My feet above ground
It felt so right
Lost in the music of the night

Sorry, for those non South Africans I am not insulting Cindy, this is a word-play on the Afrikaans baie dankie or ‘thank you very much’.

Love the way your page is looking now, Denise. I can’t really relate to the poem with two left feet. 😀

very much enjoyed, the dance… as well as your clarification for “buy a donkey” I’m chuckling… what fits you must have when you dine together!

Hahaha, LS, I thought it would be funny to some people… Actually, I haven’t met Cindy yet. In fact, I haven’t met any of the bloggers personally.

Dance really has the power to transform us, to take us away to another place. The tango in particular. WOW. What a dance. It must be amazing to be able to dance it well.

I would love to be able to dance really well – and particularly those South American dances! I love watching them danced by professionals… 😀

a lovely poem — exactly what dancing is supposed to inspire — for those of us not graceful enough to move so beautifully
