NEWBORN

I move, I stretch,

I’m warm,

I yawn.

The face hovers over my head,

Peering down at me,

And the voice I know

Says she loves me so.

  2. I made a cradle like that out of good knotty pine when my son was born. It had a star instead of a heart. “Circumstances” forced me to leave when he was 18 months old. I never knew what happened to it.
