VOTING
Great excitement yesterday,
The IEC was on its way
To let the residents have their say,
But this turned into a non-event
As insufficient papers had been sent.
And so we wait again today
Hoping for no more delays.
Special votes must take place
On the two days set aside
Prior to the voting day
Taking place on the eighteenth of May.

Other slices of the pie: Tired of choosing the lesser of two evils, no candidate genuine, same mess no matter who is there, the people still vote but ultimately have no representation or advocates. These feelings permeate the thinking of more than half of the USA electorate I would present.

Carl you have hit the nail on the head! We think we can make a difference, but we are kidding outselves.

Probably the only advantage of being incapacitated is having the voting come to you but, in this case, someone has tripped up badly.

Well, we applied for special votes (within the time constraint), but no one came to take our votes – and I believe many other retirement villages were also left out. ‘All entitled to vote’ – what a laugh!
