I am a middle-aged South African woman, living in Johannesburg. I began writing poetry towards the end of May 2010. I love animals – sometimes more than people! I am back after a break. Thanks for still being here, if you are! Missed you! xxx

  4. So funny, Adee – and such a good learning tool – I hated studying history when I was at school and couldn’t be bothered trying to remember all those dates and facts – my mum observed that I always knew all the words to hit songs, and suggested I just put all those facts and figures to my favourite hits – it worked a treat πŸ˜‰

    • I also hated history, but I gave up, never opened a book and never passed a test or exam. We had the most boring teacher(?) if you could call her that. We read the book in class, she gave us roneod notes to take home summarising what we had read, and that was that! No discussions. And (the part that I disliked the most) we jumped all over the world in dates and countries in no order whatsoever. Good for your mom in solving your problem – it would have worked for me too had I thought of it! πŸ˜›
