CLARITY

Come fly with me
Through the sky with me
And we can see
Ourselves with clarity

Learn to let go
Leave the evil below
Drift with the flow
And help our faith grow

Unload the weight
Of worry and hate
And close the gate
Before it’s too late

I am a middle-aged South African woman, living in Johannesburg. I began writing poetry towards the end of May 2010. I love animals – sometimes more than people! I am back after a break. Thanks for still being here, if you are! Missed you! xxx

  5. What a great and “uplifting” poem (no pun intended – or did I) to read this Sabbath day, Dee. For my sake you should probably remind me to close the barn door, and LOCK the gate behind me!

Thanks for adding to my joy – even when you are in the midst of struggling to heal. You always manage to get me thinking and/or smiling! Dear friend – I wish you enough. . .

For some reason, Elton John’s “Harmony” popped into my head ~ with Clarity:

    [Clarity] and me
    We’re pretty good company
    Looking for an island
In our boat upon the sea . . .

I’m anxious to hear about your rehab this week. Best of luck as you start moving around.
