I am a middle-aged South African woman, living in Johannesburg. I began writing poetry towards the end of May 2010. I love animals – sometimes more than people! I am back after a break. Thanks for still being here, if you are! Missed you! xxx
This made me smile so wide Denise. For a moment in time you made me feel like a little kid again, thank you! P.S. It was vanilla ice cream wasn’t it? 🙂
Some reflexes, Denise.
Try and get a friend to hold the ends of a pencil between their fingers.
Hold your cupped hand arched over the pencil, and when they let it go, catch it
before it hits the ground.

If you see a dog, Gran, then it is a dog and, actually, her name is Jasmine, lol!

It pays to have expert reflexes when you’re a dog 😀

I hope it’s a dog . . . not a stalker. 😀
The dog’s “hand at the ready” concerned me.

What is with all of you and dogs, eh? I haven’t seen a dog with hands…

so sweet little experience that everyone had lived through in life once at least. Lovely poem nostalgic in a way.

I am glad you liked it Sunamu. I am trying other styles now and then and I love simplistic poems, although now and then I fall flat on my face…. 😆
