Sidey’s Weekend Theme – 23.09.2011: Feet
~
I’ll sing you a song
To paint a smiley face
And you’ll sing along
To make this a happy place
~
We’ll clap our hands
And infect the whole world
As the beat of our feet
Makes the sound on the ground
Echo deep through the land
~
I’ll sing you a song
To paint a smiley face
And you’ll sing along
To make this a happy place
~

I feel such a fraud, John. This is not at all what I wanted/intended to write, but I was distracted and so you can tell, reading it, that my heart wasn’t in it. I shall do a better one in a day or two, I promise!

That’s great, Adee, and so is your comment when you linked it on Sideys’ blog, “Sore feet reflect on your face”. That’s so true.

Thanks Tinman. I remember growing up how my lips tightened up when my shoes pinched my toes…

Nice… your poem’s like a song itself, has a lovely, infectious beat to it. The title reminded me of the movie – I saw the Imax version several years ago and loved it (kid that I am at heart). 🙂

Gee thanks Ruth. Glad you liked it. Haven’t seen (or heard of) the movie I’m afraid.

‘Happy feet’ itself gives you a happy picture/feel, and your poem enhanced it 🙂 Hey, I noticed you’ve got 3,000 spam comments – what on earth is that about? That’s nuts!

Ain’t no good at foot tappin’ or singin’ but still can participate in optimistic happiness.
