I am a middle-aged South African woman, living in Johannesburg. I began writing poetry towards the end of May 2010. I love animals – sometimes more than people! I am back after a break. Thanks for still being here, if you are! Missed you! xxx
When I think of rock ‘n’ roll and wine….Boone’s farm Strawberry Hill or maybe Apple come to mind. But Ripple was the cheapest and the most often consumed back in the day…Oh, the hangovers!!Thanks for the ‘Trip’ down memory lane, Denise.
Denise, I think I’m going to print this one and put it next to my current box of South African wine. 🙂 It will make me smile even bigger when I have some.
Love your “T’wine, or knot t’wine, that is the question?” comment, Adee, haha Nothing wrong with unwinding with a glass of wine (accompanied by some loudly played rock ‘n roll) – I hope you’re rocking and rolling soon – do you swim as part of your physical therapy?
Thanks, Bb! No one has mentioned swimming to me yet, but I have been thinking that maybe in the new year when I go back to the doc for a checkup I will ask. I know we are going extremely slowly with progress as the bone was not strong yet.

You may as well go the whole bottle 😉 Cool poem – love the image of the twine, and the ending is great.

Hmmm, you may be right, Gabe. 😕 I love the word ‘twine’ – to me it sounds just like it is, haha. Wind the twine around… Thanks, so much.

Sherry will do the trick, Patrecia. Specially on a cold winter’s evening… 🙂

but then

A bit of a conundrum then,

Coffee is good too, Brian, and I will always love music, from loud beats (ala Queen and The Boss) to soft and gentle melodies…
