I write what I feel…

The Dream 2

Birds abound

Strewn around

On the ground

They don’t cry

Mute acceptance in their eyes

Too little air

The trees are bare

The drought severe

Grass seeds depleted

The birds are defeated

They cannot fly

Exhausted they lie

Too tired to try

  3. How sad Denise, birds too tired to fly will soon become victims, as their only escape mechanism is gone.

  4. While global warming goes on unabated, the liklihood of this happening increases…

  5. Sadly, it could become a reality.

  6. Denise, what a horrific picture. So sad.
If you experienced it, perhaps this dream has connections with East Africa.
    Thank you.

  7. I’m with John, my thoughts turned to your experiences in this dream.

    • Yes, Carl, but that was before man started destroying the environment… How many species has man made extinct and how many more are on their way out?

  8. Denise, what a sad poem.

  9. Awwww…. so defeated.

  10. Very, very sad. What a dream.

  12. Liz, we have to try to stop it…

  13. I think that we are starting to see action on these issues, Adeeyoyo, and I suspect that action will snowball over the next decade

  14. I love birds, People? Not so much at times, I’m afraid.
