Let our Love
.
Let our love for you, O Lord,
Fill our thoughts to overflow,
Echo through both time and space –
A missive from the human race.

I am a middle-aged South African woman, living in Johannesburg. I began writing poetry towards the end of May 2010. I love animals – sometimes more than people! I am back after a break. Thanks for still being here, if you are! Missed you! xxx

God’s overflows of love are the only kind of overflows wherein we do not call the plumber.

The only wonderful overflows are those of love, both to and from Him. 😀

Beautiful. A gorgeous moment of inner peace: felt when I read it as I do when I meditate. Fab.

There is something in the air around this time of year, isn’t there Denise? When we feel a little bit closer to God. Or at least we should.. Beautiful poem, concise, yet so poignant. Oh, and Muthua’s photo,,,,,,eye catching colors, to say the least. He does have a “gift” of his vision, and captures it in his photos, to share with us. Thanks to you both.

God – or at least I do! You should read some of Muthua’s writings when you visit his blog… also wonderful!

The image is such a lovely prompt that it feels as if somebody hugs you through the cold night to deliver you at the door of dawn to have a glimpse of the hand that sheltered you throgh the night.
a lovely poem Denise. Sometimes, you cry in pleasure.

Indeed it is, Andra! I love it because, to me, it depicts gatherings of humans under the sheltering blanket of God’s love…
