I am a middle-aged South African woman, living in Johannesburg. I began writing poetry towards the end of May 2010. I love animals – sometimes more than people! I am back after a break. Thanks for still being here, if you are! Missed you! xxx

Thank you, Sunamu. That is what I was getting at. A little like ‘imitation is the sincerest form of flattery’, if you know what I mean?
I told myself that I wouldn’t write or post for a few days. Seems I can’t res(is)t, haha. But I am trying to relax a bit more until after the new year.

On gossamer wings it flies so high
Up and down in the sky
A beautiful creature flits here and there
Without problems , with out care..
Very nice it was too

Thanks, Brian. They are very delicate and virtually weightless, helpless victims in the breeze…

What a colorful gift to see this morning. We’ve had snow here and everything is white. Your splash of color is much appreciated!

I always find it hard to picture that you could be so cold when we are sweltering… The colour is lovely to see.

They do, don’t they? Except that those shades in the morning usually mean trouble, acording to the old adage.
