If there’s a man on the moon
Is there a maid up there too?
Could it be me and you?
Both in tune?
On the moon?

I am a middle-aged South African woman, living in Johannesburg. I began writing poetry towards the end of May 2010. I love animals – sometimes more than people! I am back after a break. Thanks for still being here, if you are! Missed you! xxx

When I say this is sheer fun, I hope I’m not going to injure any artistic temperament which intended deep and complex philosophical connotations! 🙂

Wouldn’t it be nice if we could take turns in each writing a line and see where it takes us?
Brian from http://www.waystationone.com
and Otin from http://www.wizardofotin.blogspot.com
used to each write half a story. The one to go first tried to paint the second into a corner and it was amazing how they dug themselves out. They wrote each half on their own blog, but called themselves ‘Brotin’.

This reminds me of a song from “way back when” . . .
Would you like to swing on a star
Carry moonbeams home in a jar
And be better off than you are
Or would you rather be a . . . Fish? 😉

Did you see about the satellites they are sending up to the moon? Apparently the side we can’t see is heavier than the side we can, so it kind of just sits there unable to turn. If they are on the moon, I hope they are on the bright side. 🙂

I have always felt drawn to the dark side of the moon, Kiersty. Maybe its heavy metals are magnetic, lol! No I hadn’t seen that, but very interesting. I must check it out. Imagine mining operations going on over there in the dark… Of course ‘they’ would have to, wouldn’t they. Let’s look at the bright side, nevertheless… maybe they could leave it alone. Ha!
