I wrote this in celebration of my sister and brother-in-law’s wedding anniversary.

Wedding Anniversary
~
7 January 1971 – 7 January 2011
40 Years
~
Congratulations, I have to say,
On your reaching this special day:
The adventure of a lifetime shared,
A tapestry woven together where
Any tear in the fabric is fast repaired,
Goals and dreams have been attained,
Togetherness has been sustained
To live two lives in harmony as one,
Triumphant over challenges –
Well done!

How heartening, Denise.
We are approaching 45, so not too far away from Ruby!
So nice to hear of successful marriages.

I think they are very few and far between nowadays, John, which makes it even more special!
By-the-way, John, you are well on your way to ‘GOLD’ – 50 years!

I am happy for such couples. My parents will be married 67 years in September. Shucks, 67 days was good for me if it lasted that long at all.

There is no better way than greeting with a poem, Denise.
A poem is an ambassador of the writer that stays with the blessed.
