I write what I feel…

Other Worldly

On the cusp of sleep

Thoughts, imagination, inspiration

Wander up hill and down dale.

Recollections… introspections… meditations…

.

Material obsessions:

Baubles bright in the sunlight,

Earthly jewels, possessions,

Worth nought in the afterlife.

.

Treasures of the soul:

Love, joy, contentment,

Life-energy spiritually whole,

Surrendered to His control.

I am a middle-aged South African woman, living in Johannesburg. I began writing poetry towards the end of May 2010. I love animals – sometimes more than people! I am back after a break. Thanks for still being here, if you are! Missed you! xxx

  3. Great reminder.
Yet we fill our bags with that which we do not need, ignoring that which we do…what a surprise journey’s end holds.

  8. The cusp is a great pave to be. The reason we do anything adventurous. Too bad it is so short so must inhale every bit of it and never exhale.
