I write what I feel…

Renewal

I feel a clear fresh wind

Blowing through my brain

Sweeping out the cobwebs

So I can live again

.

I feel a clear fresh wind

Dusting out my mind

Vacuuming up bad mem’ries

And leaving good behind

I am a middle-aged South African woman, living in Johannesburg. I began writing poetry towards the end of May 2010. I love animals – sometimes more than people!

  11. Your poem reminds me of what a friend told me today: I’m so glad that you can laugh (I recently lost my beloved husband).

  12. Seems like you have been baptized with wind instead of water. Seems like it works too. Good for evangelicals giving testimony in the desert, I suppose.

  14. A clear fresh wind… I love the feel this gives me! I’ll be remembering your words during the snow storm we have closing in..

    • Funny, I wish I could be there for the snow although I realise it can be really difficult sometimes… Never mind, we don’t know what the future may hold.

  16. I Love when that fresh wind comes. There is such a sense of renewal, hope and possibility. There is nothing like it!
