I write what I feel…

My Head, My Brain, My Mind

My head says one thing,

But I can’t make up my mind.

My brain tells me, ‘No’,

But my mind cannot decide.

There is no unity between the three,

They all seem doomed to disagree.

‘Mind over matter’, or so the saying goes,

So, what’s the matter with my mind?

‘Out of sight, out of mind’ is another,

So tell me, my brother,

Is it possible to leave my mind behind

And thus be out of my mind?

I can lose my mind or lose my head

But if I lost my brain, I would be dead.

  6. So funny, Denise. I saw a T-shirt once that went something like,,,

‘ I’ve gone to find myself.
If I get back, before I do,
Hold me here, until I get there.’
Your poem in a nutshell, Nice post.

  7. That made me smile and giggle!

  8. But if you were dead, you wouldn’t mind! 🙂

Hey, what is with the latest post? It doesn’t allow comments. Not even the email gives such option … ?

  9. I’m thinking I am loosing mine at the moment, as, I can’t for the life of me find anywhere to leave a post on your “Newest” “Black Velvet” entry…Oh well, it was beautiful anyway. Other than makes me think you are cheating on me with that “Elvis Presley’ Guy…But, then who could blame you for that…Heehe
I’m awarding you with a pretty yellow flower (Readers Appreciation Award)..if you would like to come by and read the presentation tomorrow, and Pick…It Up, I would be honored.
    Bless You

    • I think I’ve fixed it. Actually re-posted it. Thanks, Paul. No idea what happened, lol!

I really don’t ‘do’ awards, Paul. I am honoured, but really can’t accept. This is personal and private so please don’t press me. I love you for the compliment, OK. God bless you.

  10. And how exactly does “I” fit into all this? Words! Don’t you just love ’em? 😀

    • I more-than-love them, Ben! Such wonderful things, some with the same spelling and different meaning, all the nuances… there is a word describing every feeling including mixed feelings… I seem to discover new ones every second day. 😀

  11. This is very FUN! Thanks, Denise.

  12. My brain hurts after reading this – LOL!

  13. LOVE THIS!! My mind does it all the time. Thank you for capturing it in words!
