I am a middle-aged South African woman, living in Johannesburg. I began writing poetry towards the end of May 2010. I love animals – sometimes more than people! I am back after a break. Thanks for still being here, if you are! Missed you! xxx
Thanks, Gran. I have had to approve your comment. Maybe they are ‘fixing’ things, e.g. I have had to wait for approval each and every time I comment on some bloggers’ posts.
I’ve seen those execu-tricks, Adee – I had a fish tank as a child and one night one of my miniature sharks leapt straight from the tank and landed on my bedside lamp lightbulb, which promptly exploded – big fright!
Hahaha, Bb, I had a goldfish bowl for a long time until 1996 when I moved to Joeys. Don’t ask me how many times I had to pick the goldfish up off the floor and put him back in…

Sorry, but I’m a bit slow on this one. The fish jumped out? And the significance of execu-tricks/trix?

The fish escaped by executing all his tricky manouvres. An attempt at wordplay, lol!
He didn’t jump out of the water – ‘…through dilute air in a watery matrix…’
Water is a chemical substance with the chemical formula H2O. A water molecule contains one oxygen and two hydrogen atoms connected by covalent bonds.

I did get the H2O part, but what did the fish escape from if not the pond – someone was trying to catch him?

… from my prying eyes, I would think! They don’t like to be watched. Maybe are scared of being someone’s dinner, lol!

That is lovely Adee.
Why do I suddenly have to fill in all sorts of details to comment?
