Becalmed on a silver sea
an ocean of slow motion
after a tropical storm
feelings have flown
hither and thither blown
littered, scattered
across the ocean
in a cyclone of emotion

I am a middle-aged South African woman, living in Johannesburg. I began writing poetry towards the end of May 2010. I love animals – sometimes more than people! I am back after a break. Thanks for still being here, if you are! Missed you! xxx

Beautiful calm: I like an ocean of slow motion. I have to admit, though, I love watching it when it’s all riled up too… 😀

The sea is so fascinating, Ruth. Lots of different moods – I love watching the waves breaking over the rocks! 😀

A calm after the storm is better than a calm before storm, Denise. It’s so wonderful to imagine navigating on calm seas after the storm. A certain material for poetic experience of nature.

Now for the bad news…
Or, depending on how one sees it.
Solar Storm Tomorrow at sunrise…on the east coast of the U.S. anyway…not sure when you’ll see it.

Oh dear, I hope it doesn’t affect my internet reception, lol! Or the lights for that matter. I have to get up early and bake for a minor celebration. Thanks for the warning, Paul. God bless you!
