Joy and euphoria
Ecstasy and bliss
Elation and exultation
Filled to excess with happiness
Do not burst my bubble
Please let it last
Longer than
In the past

I am a middle-aged South African woman, living in Johannesburg. I began writing poetry towards the end of May 2010. I love animals – sometimes more than people! I am back after a break. Thanks for still being here, if you are! Missed you! xxx

Mmm. On the whole I am, but it is more ‘contentment’ now, I think… which is good!

Waft on the wind,
your cocoon now is free.
to sail where you will,
best wishes to thee.
Sorry Denise, I can’t help myself sometimes. I loved the poem.

Unfortunately we know that bubble will eventually burst. We are not surprised, just disappointed once again. But at least it was in our grasp if only for a moment and they can’t take away the memory.

This is lovely. So full of hope. And then there is the little shadow of the past, lurking. I hope the bubble doesn’t ever burst!
