GIFTS
I gave my mom a gift today,
In the very early hours.
Number six on the list,
It was not a bunch of flowers.
Another rat. Spoilsport,
‘Cos he wouldn’t play the game.
She said I was a clever boy
But when I looked again
He wasn’t there, gone,
Disappeared into thin air –
What a crying shame!

I thiink he’s the cleverest cat I’ve ever had, Sidey! Not just street-smart either, a real communicator. He comes to me for his meals and sleeps on my bed. But where he comes from is a puzzle he can’t answer.

I’m glad you agree, Hope. He does try to talk, but I am not clever enough to understand him, lol. 😀

Well, Maxi, he ate the last rat he caught because I was too slow. Not a crumb left over… And I didn’t want a repeat. Bless you, Denise.

Lovely cat, Denise. Peter, our son, has two cats. He lives in a cottage by the seashore, and the surrounding country is a perfect hunting ground for them.
Cat paradise!

I’m so sorry about your cat, Brian. I wish our pets lived as long as we do, but I’m sure one day we’ll see them again.

What a beautiful kitty. Mine used to be very generous when it came to giving ‘presents’. 🙂

This one too, AD, although I could do with fewer sometimes, lol! Never mind, it keeps the rat population down, eh. He appeared out of the blue and we adopted each other. (I’ve been having a problem with accessing the net the last couple of days and am not sure whether it is the time of year or whether my memory is low.)

Did he get it at the “Maul”? And can you return it?
