Omg Denise, your words describe my mother-in-law as she slipped into Alzheimers. She was the most the lovable person I had ever known and this disease turned her into a monster.

I didn’t want to write this post, but I found I absolutely had to. There is such a stigma attached to mental illness and the more it is put out there in the open, the more people will understand and discuss it and also realise there is no shame in going for help. Thanks for your input, Maxi.. ♥

ugh…it is sad….and hopefully she will listen when they say something to her…this is hard…and sometimes they dont realize which makes it all the harder….

That is the thing, Brian. They can’t see that there is anything wrong, especially with themselves. They will lash out at any such suggestion. And even at someone close to them. I don’t know anthing about this, but perhaps a calming medication could help… I hope so and that she is given something to help her.

A really odd expression, SuNaMu, which one doesn’t hear much these days. It must have been lying dormant in my subconscious mind and just popped out.

A salutary lesson, Denise. (The Pale was a fence around a town. Those inside were civilized. Those outside were either savages or lepers – unwanted and feared, and kept outside the Pale.)
