~
I watch the moon hang in the sky
I meet her gaze eye to eye
Lantern-like she doesn’t blink
Nor give a hint of what she thinks
As she reflects on earth below
Where human ants scurry to and fro
What thorny issues does she ponder
What on Earth is there I wonder
To keep that stare fixed day and night
On the view from that great height

Jake, you’re practically as high as the moon… time for you to come down to earth. 😀

This opens one to think of the feasible theory that planets, moons and stars are all sentient beings, but in a way very hard for us to comprehend. Just as plants and trees are.

I have a strong feeling that plants and trees do have a certain conscienceness, but not planets, moons and stars. This poem, though, was written tongue-in-cheek, lol! Thanks for your input, Col. 🙂
