Wonder-full
I am overcome with feelings
Of love and admiration
For the wonders of this world,
The ingenuity, intricacy, of all creation.
The supreme Inventor, ultimate Artist,
Unparalleled in time & space,
God, the Creator, Originator of all
In the history of the human race.
The animals of the earth,
The birds of the air,
All things are inter-dependent
And utter-ly dependent
On our Father, Author of all.

I think he created everything to make us aware and to reflect his power, his glory, his majesty….

Sorry, Adee, but you know we silently agreed to disagree on this one a long time ago. I love that you see the funny side of Col’s comment.

One of my very favourite childhood hymns:-
All Things Bright And Beautiful Hymn
All things bright and beautiful,
All creatures great and small,
All things wise and wonderful,
The Lord God made them all.
Each little flower that opens,
Each little bird that sings,
He made their glowing colours,
He made their tiny wings.
All things bright and beautiful,
All creatures great and small,
All things wise and wonderful,
The Lord God made them all
The purple-headed mountain,
The river running by,
The sunset and the morning,
That brightens up the sky;
All things bright and beautiful,
All creatures great and small,
All things wise and wonderful,
The Lord God made them all
The cold wind in the winter,
The pleasant summer sun,
The ripe fruits in the garden,
He made them every one;
All things bright and beautiful,
All creatures great and small,
All things wise and wonderful,
The Lord God made them all
The tall trees in the greenwood,
The meadows for our play,
The rushes by the water,
To gather every day;
All things bright and beautiful,
All creatures great and small,
All things wise and wonderful,
The Lord God made them all
He gave us eyes to see them,
And lips that we might tell
How great is God Almighty,
Who has made all things well.
All things bright and beautiful,
All creatures great and small,
All things wise and wonderful,
The Lord God made them all.

I never dreamt that I would be able to write poetry, Jake. I read Cindy’s poems in 2010 and was so impressed that I decided to try. Unfortunately she doesn’t have a poetry blog any longer.
