Adeeyoyo's Blog

I write what I feel…

If you watch me or follow

you will find i hide my hopes

and dreams under my pillow

my wishes and fancies are

buried there together with

a feather that fell through the air

white marshmallow clouds

form my bed, soft and welcoming

me into the warm folds of faith

where I lie way up high…

I am a middle-aged South African woman, living in Johannesburg. I began writing poetry towards the end of May 2010. I love animals – sometimes more than people! I am back after a break. Thanks for still being here, if you are! Missed you! xxx

  1. This is really lovely, adee. (Who keeps giving you one star?) 😕

    • Thanks, AD! I can assure you it wasn’t me, lol! 😀 (PS – I have given myself a ‘like’ by mistake TWICE when I clicked in the wrong place to see the hidden ones, lol!)

      • Me too, and then I got this message from WordPress “You’re so vain.” 😀 Anyway, I only give 5*, or not at all.

        • Yes, I also got the ‘You’re so vain’ and blushed! I have always thought you could give only one star (at a time). I have gone back now and then and added another one, but it sometimes refuses to take it. So I sometimes get away with giving 2 stars tops.

  2. I loved this… really enjoyed it… (and I gave you 5 stars)

  7. You are being an inspiration again, Denise. 🙂 …

I don’t hoard any furtive hopes
    Beneath my cosy feather pillow
    Nor dreams, nor wistful wishes
For fear they will make it lumpy
And give me a pain in the neck

  8. After reading your post, I climbed right up there and floated around on a marshmallow cloud. 🙂
