Sidey’s weekend theme this week is ‘LATE’:

.
Use your time, don’t let it slide
Into the Great Divide
‘tween Heaven and Earth,
Misused, into the past –
Lost in the vast-ness of space…
Whether you dream dreams,
Write reams, run the race of life,
Just don’t waste your time –
Your gift from God –
On fruitless pursuits.
More precious than stones,
Silver or gold, time cannot be stored
For use on a rainy day,
Cannot be ignored as it
Catches you up and passes you by.
Too late, too late, you will cry
As on your deathbed you lie.

While I completely agree with you, Denise, I also completely agree with another posting from today which I read earlier. They might seem to contradict one another, although of course in fact they do not. Anyway, I though I would share it with you.

Thanks, Ben, I liked it. Looking at things from a different perspective is often good.

Oh how true, Denise. A boss of mine, when I was much younger, said to me “This minute, this hour, this day, this week, will never come again. Use it well.”

Yes John, we all know this, but often lose sight of it among life’s humdrum chores…

That is so, Brian. Unfortunately many talents go to waste in this world of materialism…

I think the best life is one where one’s time can be spent doing something one loves, eg creating, without being influenced by financial considerations.
