I write what I feel…

Bully for You

I can almost speak

I can almost speak

Bully for You

He drew his paw and THWAK

He smACKed the dog across the room,

A blink and he was there

Atop the dog, rolled on his back,

All four paws gripping while he bit,

Ripping, kicking, a ball of fury

Exploding, erupting in a flurry,

Subsiding slowly…

His eyes met mine halfway

‘Was that good enough?’ he seemed to say,

‘…and can we play another day?’

  1. ha ha. Cats are dangerous and cool

  2. Beautiful cat, Denise. Great poem.
I had a dog who regularly got a clawing at the hands of the local cats.
He couldn’t stand ’em!!! And who should be surprised at that.

  3. ha. he just needs to realize the cat is in charge you know…
or at least just let them thing it…smiles…

  4. “Bully, bully!” Oh where is Theodore Roosevelt when America needs him?

  5. Luckily our dogs and cats get on well together and never fight.maybe the dogs realise that they cannot win

  6. Hahaha This made me laugh. That face says, “Don’t mess with me. ” 🙂

  7. He has two toy dogs made of felt which he loves to attack. He actually gets on well with real dogs though, as long as they are friendly too which has always been the case when I’ve seen them.

  9. And now the poor thing is exhausted. But he could force down a morsel or two before nap time..

  10. What DID that dog say?!

  11. haha! – a feisty cat, it would seem (my fave kind) … love the poem, spirited, just like that cat

  12. Fun!
What do you mean, ‘almost speak’? He does all the time, but everyone is too stupid to understand.
