I’ve been drifting through life
Like the bubbles on my screen
I am the constant while life goes by,
But enough, no more ~
Wake up, participate,
Take life by the scruff
Don’t just spectate!

I am a middle-aged South African woman, living in Johannesburg. I began writing poetry towards the end of May 2010. I love animals – sometimes more than people! I am back after a break. Thanks for still being here, if you are! Missed you! xxx

Thanks for the comment, John. I looked up ‘Rumi’ and what a wonderful find! What a wonderful mind! Thanks for bringing him to my notice. I could not hope to compare, but am deeply flattered.

We-el, not exactly, Col… More to celebrate my new home (same complex, diff apartment with NEW NEIGHBOURS) and also the fact that I am now much, much more mobile and have a lovely garden. Lots to be grateful for, eh?

going with the flow is not bad…but taken to the extreme life will pass you by and you will be left wondering in the end what happened…

I think I live in the moment (more than I used to do) not in the future nor in the past. Also the fear of another ‘accident’ has receded somewhat and I’m trying to do all the right things.

If we lose our “in order to …” we’ve come to a pretty pass indeed.

😕 We do need reasons for our actions, Ben. Sorry I’m not quite with you…?

Sorry. Not meaning to be abstruse. You say “We do need reasons for our actions”. And that is what I am saying too. 🙂

I believe what you are saying is; don’t let your “get up and go” get up and go!
