I write what I feel…

Spring Shoots

Spring Shoots

Spring Shoots

Spring Shoots

Bare brown branches with hardly a hint of green,

The smallest tint of jade seen in the shade

As the shadows lengthen and colours dissipate.

Darkness shrouds the trees and birds slowly cease

Their twitters. Only a lone owl can be heard

Breaking the soft silence with his call. Peace.

  2. We are at seasonal opposites Denise. you are welcoming the lovely spring green. And here, fall is peering it’s cool head around the corner.

    • At the time of the Spring equinox (Southern Hemisphere) and the Autumnal equinox (Northern Hemisphere) I have noticed that many of the temperatures are much the same. I always compare London with Jozi. I have no idea about the US as it is such a vast area.

  3. Nice work. _/\_ Namaste.
